What time is arrival and dismissal?

GAS is offered Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. during the school year. The children’s arrival takes place between 3-3:45, depending on the release time of each school. All children should be picked up no later than 6:30 p.m.

What if I am late for pick up?

There is a $5.00 late fee every five minutes you are late beginning at 6:30 p.m.

What if my child does not need to be picked up from school?

If your child does not need to be transported from school, you must notify the front desk by 1 p.m. each day. If your child will be routinely absent one day a week for activities such as tutoring, school plays, etc., inform the front desk of the day and duration. This will alleviate the necessity of calling each week. We ask you to do this so we can better ensure the safety of the children riding the bus. FAILURE TO NOTIFY ASI WILL RESULT IN A $10.00 FEE. There are no refunds for absenteeism.

What is the policy when my child is sick?

If your child has any of the following symptoms, he/she will not be allowed to attend ASI until the symptoms and/or fever have been gone for at least 24 hours.

  • Fever
  • Upper respiratory
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Or other major illness

If your child exhibits signs of illness in GAS, we will call you or another authorized person to pick up your child within one hour from the time we contact you. We cannot release your child to anyone other than a parent or an authorized person.

Can my child do her homework while attending the Gymnastics After School Program?

Yes. Each day children will be given a 30-minute break. During this time, every child is given the opportunity to pick their activity, including: homework, read, draw/color or play board games.

Does ASI offer my child an after school snack?

Yes. We offer a drink and snack after school for each child. Your child may also elect to purchase snacks from the vending machine.

What happens when there is no school?

GAS will be closed on school holidays or teacher in-service days. However, ASI offers Camp for your child to attend. Camp days are divided into 2 sessions. The morning session is from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and the afternoon session is from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

For GAS students, all morning Camp sessions during the school year will be issued to you at a 20% discount. However, you must still pre-register for Camp ahead of time. Holiday camp sessions are neither transferable nor refundable.

Afternoon Camp sessions are offered at no additional cost for the specific days your child attends GAS. For the days your child does not attend GAS, Camp will be issued to you at a 20% discount. However, you must still pre-register for Camp ahead of time. Holiday camp sessions are neither transferable nor refundable.

For example: Susie attends GAS every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the school year. She wants to attend Holiday Camp Monday-Friday. For every morning session that week, Susie will get a 20% discount on each session. Susie will then attend Camp for FREE in the afternoons on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Because Susie doesn’t attend GAS on Tuesday and Thursday, Susie will receive a 20% discount on the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon Camp sessions.

How does ASI discipline?

At ASI Gymnastics, discipline consists of positive reinforcement, redirection and time out. Our discipline will be individualized and will be appropriate of each child’s age. We do not believe in humiliating, ridiculing, rejecting or yelling at a child. We never allow physical punishment under any circumstance.

What should my child wear during Gymnastics After School?

Each child should bring a pair of gym shorts and a t-shirt to wear every day. Gym attire is safer for the children and they will be much more comfortable. An ASI T-shirt will be ASI Gymnastics After School (GAS) provided at the beginning of the year for each child and the parents are responsible for providing gym shorts. Additional shirts are available at the gym. Children dressed in street clothes (jeans, skirts, tights – anything with zippers, snaps, buttons) will not be permitted to use any gym equipment, including trampolines and mats. Children will be asked to remove shoes and socks when entering the gym area. This safety requirement alleviates slips and falls. Gym socks with rubber grippers on the bottom will be allowed for children with medical issues.

Does ASI offer a sibling discount for Gymnastics After School?

What is the preferred method of communication?

Please make sure we have your email address on file as we use it as a form of communication.

How do I check my child out?

The attendance of each gymnast is tracked by using a barcode key tag system. Each adult listed on the release authorization form will be issued a barcode key tag. The adult will scan the key tag to sign-in at the facility prior to the gymnast being released. Children will not be called from their group until the parent is present in the facility.

To ensure our children’s safety, ASI keeps a file of names, addresses and phone numbers of people authorized to pick up each child in case of an emergency. The file is based on information provided on the enrollment forms. It is very important our Sales Reps be notified in writing of any changes, as children cannot be released without proper authorization and identification. For additional security and proof of identification, ASI may also ask to view a driver’s license.

What if I need additional key tags?

For the protection of the children, the key tags are issued specifically to people who are authorized to pick up your child. If additional keys are needed, there will be a $3.00 charge per key. Please see the front office to purchase extra keys.

What if I need more than 4 keytags?

Please stop by the gym. You will need to bring the following. Your drivers license, and the name and relationship of the person you are authorizing, their phone number, and their drivers license number.

My child takes medication every day, what is ASI’s policy for this?

For the safety of your child, we cannot dispense medication without a signed Medical Authorization Form. See the front desk for the appropriate medication forms. All medication must be in the original container. Over-the-counter medication will never be dispensed to children.

In case of injuries and emergencies, what policies does ASI follow?

At ASI Gymnastics, we make every effort to assure your child’s safety, though we cannot guarantee that accidents will not occur. In case of a serious accidental injury, you will be contacted immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will call the authorized person you have indicated on the Enrollment Form to make medical emergency decisions about your child. A signed emergency medical release is necessary to insure prompt medical attention. If we cannot reach anyone, your child will be transported to the nearest hospital of your choice and recommendations of the attending physician will be followed. ASI will have a designated person stay with your child until you arrive.

What is the safety policy while transporting my child from school to ASI?

All children transported by ASI Gymnastics must adhere to safety rules. Children must remain seated, wear a seatbelt and follow the staff’s directions at all times. Because of our safety requirements, any violation of this transportation policy may result in restriction of your child riding in the vehicle. Because of the seriousness of our safety concerns, we will notify parents immediately of any discipline problems that occur in our vehicles.

Can parents stay and observe?

Parents are always welcome to observe our daily activities with supervision. We are happy to talk to you about the policies and procedures of ASI Gymnastics. If there are any concerns or questions, please make an appointment with the front desk.
