2017 TGGA State Championships -

Congratulations to all the gymnasts who competed in the TGGA State Championships this past weekend.

The athletes have put in countless hours since last summer preparing for the State Championships. With over 600 gymnasts competing, they came prepared and excited to perform one last time. However, it wasn’t all work and no play! Not only did the athletes have fun, so did the spectators. From parent’s on the floor performing Gymnastics routines to coaches getting pied in the face, the whole family had a blast.

At our Girls meet we were lucky enough to have several youth performers from The School of Rock and Plano Children’s Theater perform the National Anthem at sessions 2-7. The three students from The School of Rock who performed were; Sara Klattenhoff, who played the guitar, Makenna Kirkwood, who performed vocals, and Loren Contino, who performed vocals. Loralai Milton from Plano Children’s Theatre sang a Capella. Thank you, girls, so much for your awesome performances, you guys rocked the house.

The ASI Boys Teams and The ASI Girls level 1-2 Teams are officially done with the season. They couldn’t have ended their season on a better note. Great job to all those who competed, each of you had a phenomenal performance. See the full results here.

The Girls Level 3 Teams compete May 5-7 at the TAAF State Championships at Texas Best Gymnastics. The Girls level 4 and 5 Teams will compete May 12-14 at the TAAF State Championships at Whitney High School.

ASI is so proud of all our athletes and the progress they have made this meet season. We want to wish the best of luck to our level 3-5 teams as they finish up their season! Check out the full meet photo album!
