School is back in session! Gone are the days of splash pads, adventure camps, and family vacations. Kids of all ages will now spend 30-35 hours a week in school learning and growing. One of the more challenging parts of school can be all the sitting the kids do.
On average, kids need at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily. Our gymnastics and ninja classes offer 55 minutes of nonstop fun and movement. Here are three benefits of adding gymnastics or ninja to your child’s after school activities.
- Improved Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence: Doing their first back handspring. Being a part of a team. Ringing the bell! At ASI Gymnastics, we look for ways to boost your child’s self-esteem and self-confidence. Getting a new gymnastics skill or making your way through the ninja obstacle course is a big deal! Being the best listener and learning to follow the leader is equally exciting! We look for ways to reinforce the good. When you hear the bell ring, clap for the child! It’s building their confidence and self-esteem!
- Better Concentration and Attention: Moving is learning! Gymnastics and ninja move the body forward and backward, spinning, and rotating sideways. All of these movements help improve concentration and attention.
- Improved Mood: Having fun with coaches, making new friends, learning new skills, and moving all lead to improving your child’s mood. A positive mood leads to more productivity making homework easier! A positive mood also increases memory and attention span which means you might not have to ask your child three times to brush their teeth before bed! A positive mood leads to a happier, healthier child with a positive outlook on the world meaning they can conquer and do more!
