Team gymnasts will compete in gymnastics meets at a local, state, regional and national level.

focused training in a positive environment. We believe that hard work and dedication build a
solid foundation for your child’s gymnastics career and future endeavors.

When can I join the Team program?
You can join Team at any time of the year. Once a child has completed the Gold level, they are eligible for Team. An evaluator will decide which level of Team is most suitable for your child.

Be aware that missing some meets may result in not qualifying to state, regional or national championships.
Do we take an ASI Gymnastics van to competitions?
The parents are responsible for their children’s transportation to and from a gymnastics meet.
When will the competition schedule be released each year?
We have to wait on USAG to announce the meets for the season. Once they have done so, we will immediately put together a schedule and release it to you. Typically it will be ready in October.. At the beginning of each season, a meet schedule will be posted on www.asigymnastics.com under the ASI Meets page.
I see there are two days listed for each meet; will my child compete on both days?

When will I find out which session my daughter will compete in?
The final meet schedule will be released 10 days prior to the meet weekend.
Does ASI compete in USAG?
ASI competes in 3 different leagues (TGGA, TAAF, & USAG) in order to accommodate gymnasts of all levels and provide them plenty of opportunities to compete. All leagues compete the same routines and are judged under the same rules. Your child’s meet schedule may include meets in one, two, or all three of these leagues based on a number of different factors.
What is USAG?
USAG is USA Gymnastics. USAG meets are held nationwide and all ASI Teams will compete in USAG meets starting at level 4.
How are the team awards determined at meets?
When teams enter a meet, their coach enters them as either a small team or a large team. A small team consists of 3-6 gymnasts and the top 3 scores on every event are added together to determine their team score. A large team consists of 7 or more gymnasts and the top 5 scores on every event are added together to determine their team score.
