2024 ASI Gymnastics Scholarships
Please complete this form to apply for a 2024 ASI Gymnastics Scholarship. All applications must be submitted by December 15th, 2023. Each awarded scholarship will cover the tuition cost of a recreational gymnastics class for a student, at the ASI location of their choice. The scholarship dates are January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Scholarship winners will be contacted via email by December 25th, 2023. Thank you for applying, we wish you the best of luck. The Damian Shelton Scholarship is in memory of Coach Damian from ASI Plano West who passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Damian was an amazing coach and his positive and energetic personality made an impact on every child he came in contact with. He will never be forgotten and his love for kids will live on.
The Mike DeLuke Scholarship is in memory of Coach Mike from ASI The Woodlands who passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Mike was a beloved coach to hundreds of children at ASI. He made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered with his infectious smile and love for kids. He is greatly missed, but his love for gymnastics will live on.
The Marissa Lipsey Scholarship is in memory of Coach Marissa from ASI Keller. Marissa embodied everything that ASI Gymnastics stands for. She had a deep love of children, and a passion for gymnastics, and was an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike. Infectious Marissa made a difference in the lives of every student she coached and every coach she trained. Marissa’s legacy will always live on at ASI Keller.
The Joanne Poole Scholarship is in memory of Coach Jo from ASI Plano West. Coach Jo had an infectious smile and laugh that lit up every room she entered. Coach Jo’s passion for the sport of gymnastics and children lead her to a coaching career at ASI. The children she coached, loved her immediate warmth, energy, humor, and kindness. She was universally loved by all coworkers, parents, and especially kids and her joy can still be felt in ASI Plano West.
The Daniel Jimenez Scholarship is in memory of Daniel, a former gymnast at ASI Firewheel. Daniel spent 10 years of his short life attending classes at ASI Gymnastics Firewheel. The very special impact Daniel made on his coaches and classmates at ASI will never be forgotten. Before Daniel passed, he loved donating his time at a local animal shelter and always strived to make a positive impact on everyone. ASI will always remember and celebrate Daniel’s life and time at ASI Gymnastics.
The Diamond Olivarez-Sims Scholarship is in memory of ASI employee Diamond, who passed away on January 15, 2023. Diamond was a Customer Experience Representative at ASI Plano West who always welcomed and greeted anyone that walked through the door with her sweet, and bubbly personality. Diamond’s joy and excitement to be at work brought a light into the gym that was contagious to her co-workers. She is a presence that is definitely missed, but not forgotten.
