Q: How long have you coached at ASI?

A: I have coached at ASI for 1 year.

Q: What do you do to stay fit?

A:   Go to the gym and spot skills.

Q: What makes gymnastics so great for kids?

A: It a full body sport that really changes your body and your mind. It can take you very far places or just be a fun way to stay active.

Q: What do you love most about coaching at ASI? Why?

A: I love the kiddos. They make me smile every day!

Q: What is your personal athletic background?

A: I ran track in HS. But mainly I competed competitively in cheer when I was younger.

Q: Describe your coaching style.

A: Perseverant and Supportive.

Q: What is your favorite event to coach?

A: Beam or Floor!

Q: Who is your favorite Superhero?

A: The Flash.

Q: Why do you love coming to gymnastics?
A: I love gymnastics because it’s a really big passion of mine, and I couldn’t live without it.

Q: What other sports do you enjoy?
A: Swimming and running.

A: Coach Todd.

Q: What is your favorite event?
A: Floor.

Q: Tell us why your coach is awesome!
A: He is always there for us no matter what, and he is like a second Dad to me.

Q: How long have you been a student at ASI?

A: Three years!

Q: From the parent- Why ASI?
A: The location, price and the best coach ever!

Q: From the parent- How is your child benefiting from gymnastics?

A: She is learning to be more disciplined and to have more self-confidence, to work hard for what she wants,

and that sometimes it takes time to get where you want but you cannot give up.

Q: How long have you coached at ASI?

A: I have coached at ASI for 2 years.

Q: What do you do to stay fit?

A:  Work with kids!

Q: What makes gymnastics so great for kids?

A: It teaches them structure, helps them set goals, and builds them for any sport in the future.

Q: What do you love most about coaching at ASI? Why?

A: My kids. The only thing I have ever wanted to do is be a mom and this gives me my passion to work with kids.

Q: What is your personal athletic background?

A: I have played soccer since I could walk. I was on a competition team, varsity, and the jr Olympic team.

I got to travel to Europe for a summer to play before I had brain surgery which ended my soccer career.

Q: Describe your coaching style.

A: Fun, but disciplined!

Q: What is your favorite event to coach?

A: Trampolines!

Q: Who is your favorite Superhero?

A: Captain America.

A:  It’s right next to our house, so the location is great!

Q: From the parent- How is your child benefiting from gymnastics?

A: It gets all of their energy out, helps them with listening, and following directions.

Team News

2018-2019 Meet Season Kick-Off

The 2018-2019 meet season has officially begun for Team ASI. The past two weekends, ASI The Woodlands and ASI Plano West hosted the TGGA “Welcome to Wonderland” Meet! There were 611 gymnasts that competed, ranging from level 1-7. The girls walked away with a great feeling of accomplishment, and hopes of coming back for their next meet with improved skills. Results can be found here, and you can see pictures on our Facebook page.

On Saturday, 47 boys competed in the TGGA “Start Your Engines” Meet at ASI Arlington. This was the first meet of the season for the boys! Results can be found here, and pictures of the athletes, their coaches, and all of the fun can be found on our Facebook page.

Here’s looking forward to more incredible meets this season! Go Team ASI!
