ASI Takes Orlando

This past weekend, ASI traveled to Orlando with 17 gymnasts levels 4-8 to compete in the Sand Dollar Invitational at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Thousands of gymnasts levels 1-10 from around the globe competed in 6 different competition venues. ASI had teams compete from our Allen, Arlington, Firewheel, Keller, Lake Highlands, and The Woodlands locations.

Karlee Williams from ASI Allen placed 1st on bars and 3rd in the all around.

Ana Alfaro from ASI Arlington placed 2nd on vault.

Morgan Charles from ASI Arlington placed 3rd on vault, beam, and floor.

Vivian Le from ASI Lake Highlands placed 2nd on beam.

Macie Rogers from ASI Lake Highlands placed 3rd on floor.

Demi Byrd from ASI The Woodlands placed 3rd on floor.

We are so proud of all our gymnasts and their coaches. Both the athletes and coaches represented ASI well and we are excited to go back next year! Congratulations to all of our competitors and a big thank you to their parents who made the trip to Orlando for such a fantastic experience. #ASItakesOrlando

Practice Makes Perfect Meet Recap

ASI hosted the first competition of the year at ASI The Woodlands and ASI Firewheel the past two weekends. The Practice Makes Perfect Meet had 600 competitors, levels 1-7, perfect their skills to kick off the competitive season. Each gymnast received a medal at the end of competition as well as ribbons on each of the four events to mark their achievements. Team awards were given out for small and large teams. Small teams consist of 6 or less gymnasts with the top 3 scores contributing to the team score. Large teams consist of 7 or more gymnasts with the top 5 scores contributing to the team score.

The teams from all ASI locations will compete in multiple competitions in Texas this year. Our level 4 and above teams will also compete in the Sand Dollar Invitational in Orlando, Florida in January. We wish the girls the best of luck this competition season.
